Getting Ready for Yom Kippur

Judaic Studies in 3rd grade has gotten off to a great start!
We have been learning a lot about Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur over the past few weeks. Some of the main themes that we have been focusing on is the special importance of teshuvah- repentance, tefillah- prayer, and tzedakah- charity and acts of kindness during this time.

Kapparos

Rabbi Okunov swung a chicken over our heads as asked Hashem to forgive us in the merit of our giving the chicken to tzedakah to help feed a poor family.
